Intro to Module 1
In this introduction to Module 1, I give a brief overview of what we will learn here, and then outline ways that we can build an authentic connection with our players, become better listeners, and let our players know we care. When we do this, everything else follows.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

Are We Interfering?
I love this equation: “Performance = Potential – Interference” from Tim Gallway in his book The Inner Game of Tennis. Many times the things we do to “help” our players can actually hurt their performance. I explain the science behind the two types of thinking we use to perform athletically, and how coaches can “get out of the way.”[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

The Mindset of Elite Performance
Dr Carol Dweck is a researcher from Stanford University, and has spent 30 years studying motivation and performance. In that time, she has identified two types of mindsets: fixed and growth. In this video I explain the difference, and how our praise for our athletes can actually hurt their performance.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

3 Tips That Set the Stage for High-Performance
Why do athletes play? Why do athletes quit? Once we create an environment that has all the elements that athletes crave when playing sports, there are three things we can do to enhance that environment that allow them to perform their best.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]
